    Default Mid-Ohio FYI

FYI .... Post in the FC section.
    http://www.apexspeed.com/forums/show...283#post346283

"I am requesting any FC drivers going to this race your opinion in petitioning the stewards to move FC from Group 6 to race group 3 ff, f5, and fv.

As you are aware, Group 6 has 44 entrants mostly, CSR, DSR, and FA. I believe with a split start we would have a safer and better race in group 3 with all open wheel cars.
There are 9 FC entered now in group 3 we would have a better distribution of cars and better racing.

I believe the sports racers would agree.

Please feel free to offer suggestions. Johnny R. "

    Default Thanks Greg

Being a former FV guy, they race clean and watch their mirrors, we would stay out of your way and trust you to do the same. Your opinion?

My opinion does not matter. Its just fair to warn the other group that you are trying to ruin their race and likely eliminate laps from their races, so that they can speak up. Not all FV drivers would see your post in another category, but it affects them too.

Some of the old MO Runoff testing groups had FVs and FC together. Neither class ever got a clear lap and it was more dangerous than FFs and F5s. If I was planning to attend in a FV, and they added FCs, I would change my plans. If I was bringing a FF, then I would not like the change, but, as we need to accept reasonable compromise, it would not likely change my plans to attend.

I am not running at Mid-O this weekend, but I hear you loud and clear, Greg.

However, after this last weekend, where an FF persisted in dicking around in front of the lead FV pack, eventually getting punted off. FC may prefer to stay where they are.

Sorry, but if an FF is slow enough to hold up FVs, we should be able to fire missiles at it from the pit wall.

I resemble that remark, but I am working on it...

    Default Split group 6

Rest easy group 3, we in group 6 open wheel
Are petitioning the chief steward to
Add/ split group 6 into open wheel
And closed wheel. It' s kinda like asking
You guys to run with srf or GTL.
Anyway the intention was not to ruin
Your race. Just reach a safe and equitable
    Solution. Peace out !
