Mosport coverage

Does anybody know where, what, and when, the Mosport pro race action can be found this weekend? I thought Speedcasttv was listed on the F1000 website to cover the event but I do not see anything listed on the speedcastv web site as up and coming events.

Per an email I got tonight speedcast will be there but the races will not be live. They will be post-produced and available a few weeks after the race.

I don't remember if there is a twitter feed or not.

Their is a live tweet.. that is assuming it gets updated.. I am sure it is going to be frantic busy from start to end of the weekend.

After looking around last night it seems @f1kchamp is a teams only twitter.

@f1000champ is the public twitter feed. I hope they are able to keep that updated as well as rand's series does.

I had thought so too, but I had assumed that based on the runoffs being done that way.

Looking back through the news releases and things it never says that the video would be done live. That is kind of a shame, I would expect a lot more people watching that way. I would have liked to have been able to give the web address to some of my friends and coworkers.

On the F1000 Championship Home page there is a link to live timing and audio. At the present time when clicked on it says coming soon.Hopefully that means when the weekend gets underway.

Hope some of you @ the track will keep us updated. Followed the Twitter link from the website and there has not been any info since Apr 28th and then it was " Follow us on F1000champ on twitter. F1Kchamp is a closed group for teams only."
Does this mean that only teams are going to get updates on the Twitter account?

Mosport knows how to put on a show. Weather forcast is great. Should be a great weekend!

Watching the NASCAR load-in is worth the price of admission. They line up outside and then convoy in and setup in 20 mins or so, probably Sat morning. Other years (before the tunnel) they had the rigs go around the whole track in the wrong direction and enter the paddock through pit out.

so after all the build up over the last year the cars have been on track twice and....nothing. noseesion results, no timing , no way to follow the series even though the series web page is full of ways to do so. Unless of course you are a registered team in which case there isnt a real reason as you are already there and its not exactly difficult to track 13 cars and pick up a time sheet. Underwhelming start after all the hoopla.

I can tell you that from running the twitter feed for the West Coast F1000 Pro Series it's not easy giving a blow-by-blow update on twitter. I think I did that for three races last year and I wondered at the time if I was overdoing it. I never posted practice times on twitter but did try and send out qualifying times and the grid lineup. But I wasn't always good about doing so promptly. You almost need a dedicated staff just for that. Doubt if he does.

With this being Jon's first race I can imagine he's probably pretty overwhelmed just trying to keep things on track and operating smoothly. I can imagine he's almost ready to drop and he still has three more days to go! I'd cut him a little slack. I'm sure info will be coming out soon.

Hi gang,

While Mosport is notorious for crappy internet service, I know the track wifi (media center) is working and can even be had in parts of the paddock, as I was there last weekend. I'll be there on Sunday and will fire out some info then. In addition, as always if we get any results or releases it will be posted on EFCN.

Wow, lots of whining. First race AND its a test day, give em a break.

Anyways, no data service since we all have US data plans, haven't tried/had the time to check the Wifi.

I wasn't looking at the sheets all day but here is what I can remember from talking to other people. Jeremy had a car issue and hit the wall, should be running this morning. Brandon was fast all day and scrubbed tires in the last practice. The entire field did two standing starts without incident on the front straight in the last practice as well. Pretty cool to finally do one. Now I'm off to the track as I'm late!

Be calm sportsfans. Yesterday was just testing and practice, and this morning was qualifying (all not races). Don't expect the live timing until the race at 2:15 today.

Jeremy had a LF tire go down in the first practice, taking him into the wall in T8 (that's 130 mph). Took off the whole left side of the car. We had our heads down until after 10PM last night, so I was unable to watch much. Coop has the flu (sick as a dog), but was right up there. Jeremy was in the mid 18's before the shunt. Brandon was flying with a timed lap of 18.7. That is about all I have!

I hear the Goodyears are kinda "flaky"...with intermittent grip...so everybody is a little bit on their toes. Today (Saturday) is warmer and sunny, so track temps will be higher. Perhaps that will help with grip. If so, an 18 flat is possible.

I can't get back up today, but may be able to do so on Sunday...If so, I will try to pay more attention! The cars looked great, sounded fast, and were entertaining to watch. Now we need to get 20 more entrants out there and put on a REALLY great show!
