Hello Rob,

The Cruze is still cruzing (41.1 mpg average over 32k) and will become my new tow rig for the races I might make. Going from the maximum to the minimum in one step.

Tell Tracy I'll bring the '67 Chevy glasses with me.

You could throw Dennis Richarson on the "maybe" list. His Adams Aero conversion is nearing completion, but Vermont to Nelson Ledges is a long tow. It may be a longshot, but I think the thought has crossed his mind.

Bill is right, the thought did cross my mind, but we're still waiting for a few parts to complete the project. The swoopy Campbell oil cooler manifold won't work with the exhaust system, interferance, so have a SRacing one on order as well as a set of BRD scoops. Decided to err on the side of caution regarding the cooling of the engine.

With my home region grouping FST in with the fast formula, racing way out of region will probably become the norm for us.

Where else can you find a place to race where the class's most experienced driver and most prolific mechanic is coming to a series race to support the new guys?

SR found and fixed an issue with a dislocated drive shaft that must have happened during the Road Atlanta race. Good job we found it on the dyno and not at the first race. Actually Jim personally pulled the night shift to get it done before I picked up the car so cudos to him and his team. Might even put an SR sticker on the car this year.....

Just finishing off a new seat...(Reece is still growing believe it or not)....

Jacers impatient to roll so we are heading to Grattan this Friday for the test and tune. Hope to get this technical track locked and loaded for the championship race. Come join us .......shake those cars down before the first race when it will be too late to work on fixing stuff......

Should be at Nelson for the race FOR SURE but not sure about practice Friday.

Looking foward to seeing the other Jacers on track and to what looks like a full grid of cars...and climbing.

Anyone who is not a FST series driver can rent a FST for the Nelson ledges practice day at a greatly reduced rate. Call SR and talk with Jim for specifics. This would be a great way to introduce yourself to Formula First and join in the Friday June 22 Formula First Experience.

Something that is sucking up motel rooms around Nelson for our weekend seems to be happening. Rates are way up, vacancies are minimal. please spend some time booking now.

Warren is not a great place for motels.

If necessary, write me for advice---its not something I've seen before.

Hey guys.

It's one of my favorite tracks, but I don't see Nelson in the cards for me.

It's not a long story. We call him, Colin. And, at only 5 months old, he's soaking up an awful lot of garage time.


RE: Hotels... When we go to Nelson, we always stay in Streetsboro (1 exit down the the expressway). Growing town. A handful of very good restaurants. Easy expressway access, etc...

Yep agree with Jason - we always stay in Streetsboro, its a 20min run to the track in the morning but has all the basic ammenities - Beds, Food and Beer! and a Starbucks on the turnpike on the way to the track!

We haven't moved the needle much on entries - remember enter early it helps our hardworking Series Organizer(s) get good things to happen when dealing with the Race Organizers.

I've been very fortunate to be asked to test one of the most recent FST conversions on Friday and make sure the car is in good shape. It is the Caracal "C" conversion of Tim Hensley.
