    I can't tell from the post what "initiatives" you are refering to, maybe something was lost in the board re-design. Here is some information that you might find useful, it is along the same lines as the referenced article:


    Carolina Motorsports Park opened in Kershaw County, South Carolina in 1999. An economic impact study done by the county in 2002 showed that the track was pumping $2 million per year into the local economy. The track is the largest revenue generating source in the county. The 2.3 mile road course is used for auto and motorcycle racing, driver education, race team testing, tire manufacturer testing, new vehicle introductions, and vehicle testing by both auto and motorcycle manufacturers. The track hopes to add spectator events in the near future which will increase the revenue generated for the areas hotels, restaurants, gas stations and other businesses.
