    Default Mufflers?

Was just looking at some threads regarding the Atlantic pro series and there was mention of running open exhaust.

Imagine what a dozen or so FB's sound like opened up? Or does an SCCA Pro event follow the GCR on this as well? Or, would the venue decide the maximum db's?

    Getting bored down South........

We ran without a muffler at the Runoffs w/out a problem. Sounded SWEET!

    Thanks ... Jay

    Brett,

There's no mention of mufflers in the Pro Racing Rules. I believe the only consideration is any decibel level any particular track may have. Other than that it looks open.

    From the PRR:

8.10.1.5: The exhaust system and exhaust manifold are unrestricted except that the exhaust shall be directed away from the body and shall terminate at or behind a point which is equidistant from the front and rear hubs.

    Default Speaking of mufflers

Did something happen to Jon? Normally the F1000champ series has a posting once a week or so. It has been very quiet for three weeks.

Just working on St. Pete and Series sponsors. Pretty slow during the holidays. Should have some more news soon.
