Default Al Gore does it again

Don't thank me, thank the interweb

I think those must be from the '67 era? Four open pipes, roll bar that must be a minimum of 2" below the top of the helmet and Flintstone race tires that look like they came straight off a Mac truck (almost Ratrod).

We had a vintage Bobsy Vega in Butch's shop (DRE) about 10 or so years ago. Wasn't impressed with the chassis. Think the design focus was purely on straight line speed.

    Thanks Al!

I love the looks of the car plus it was built in my hometown and therefore
my interest. I've also met Jerry Mong and he did business with my father
many years ago! So, If anyone has knowledge of one, please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Sorry Amon,

My brother bought one many (20) years ago at a rummage sale for $300 if memory serves me right, I bet it's the one that Bill mentioned in an earlier post
He sold it for a nice profit

    KidKoh:

He's listing it as a Vangard but it has Vega body work on it so who knows
what exactly he's selling? However, at $12k I think he'll have a hard time
selling it in these times. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm back searching for either a Vega or Vangard.

Also, Jerry Mong built two Vega's in monocoque' form before they were disallowed
by the SCCA, so he built the remaining 18 in std. form. Do these first two
    cars still exist??

    Thanks!

    Default Vega and Vanguard

My Vega is a monocoque. I had to drill every other rivet out to get it homologated. Unforetunately neither my Vega or Vanguard are for sale:

I put the rivets back in later.
