Default Ready for the first race!!

After not racing for 5 years I will be back in the seat of my (new to me) FM. I will be running the DBL Reg at Buttonwillow Sept 3-4. I have never driven a FM but lots of time in a Shelby Can-Am as a CSR and a 98 VD.

    So, what can I expect?

Car looks great. Expect to have as much fun as you remember from before. Also, missed marks, over rotation, rookie mistakes and a car that finishes races in spite of ourselves

Default Infineon IndyCar weekend; be there.........

in 11 days, watch the double race at the IndyCar weekend and meet Darryl and the boys. You will gain a truckload of comfort.........and information.

Seriously, bring a notebook and camera, you'll suck it up like a sponge and be so glad you did.

Dont' try to understand or explain it, just do it. As Hunter Thompson used to say "buy the ticket, take the ride."

    Tom,
You'll do well. I remember racing with you in Vegas in the late 90's. You will adjust to the new chassis quickly and surely finish at or near the front of the group. Have fun and best of luck. Isn't that your Shelby CanAm in the background of this old pic from LVMS, circa 1997? Man I miss my DB4, good times....Your flag was second place in the pic, but very impressive, considering the SCA vs. a well prepared FA.
