Jon has a garage with Shawn

I know Kevin is looking for someone and I'm not sure about Harry he is not signed up and I know he has had some major flooding at his home from the storm so I'm not sure if he will make it.

    Default /great Time at NHMS

It was just a wonderful weekend: I had a couple of miss haps. While in 5th I think? Dennis R lost a break line and gave me a love tap and spun us both around. Dennis is a real stand up guy. He said he was glad I was there to slow him down or he might have hit the wall. I was able to continue the race and came in 6th. Which I am very happy with. On sunday the weather was also just perfect. Started that race from 6th on the grid. we had a good start but as I was going into turn 3 I got hit again LOL by a citation the guy tyler R . I believe I was 4th and was hopping to be able to play with my great friend Harry W. (but was not to be) So now I am at the rear of the field and just wondering how many cars I can catch. I was very pleased. I was able to pass 10 cars and get into 7th it seems no matter how many cars we have ,or where I start I am always 6th or 7th Hee Hee I sold my speedsport96 to a great guy John F from Londonderry nh we worked on his car for hours getting him ready in his first race he had an oil leak by the breather , so He got a meatball and had to pull in. we fixed that.Got him all ready for his second race and he finished. So he has his first regional in his permit. He is a great Karter and he said these don't handle like Karts LOL I would also like to thank all the racers in NH that helped John get his car ready. He will be an asset to the formula vee comunity I am so glad he purchased the car from me that is nice but to have another super person in the field is Just better. Thanks for looking Protoform Pete C

    Best quote of the weekend:

Default My first weekend in FV.....

First item ... thanks to Pete C. Without him I would have never made it onto the track.
And ... all the other FV guys who pitched in to help, both parts and advice.
FV guys are the best !!!
My goal for the weekend was to NOT get in anyone's way, sort out the car, get some track time and finish .... I think I did all of that.
Saturday - started last - hung back, took the green. Coming into turn 3 ,,, braking,,, braking HARDER ....MORE HARDER ...oh boy ...I am catching the whole field WAY too fast ....Throttle stuck. We we buttoned up the body work we kinked the throttle cable. Ran about 5 laps and decided it would be better to pull in.

Sunday, Race 1, only stayed back abot 3 car lenghts at the start. Got to pass a few people, and them some more. Hey, this is fun. And then ....got a meatball . WHO ME?? It HAS to be the guy I just passed ... nope - me...
Good job by the SCCA corner workers. Pete helped me fix the oil leak.
Race 3, started, finished. Learned a bunch. FV's do not have as much rubber, have harder rubber and a lot less brakes than my 250 SuperKart. Once I changed my braking points, I slowed down, and I went faster, but I was still very cautious. I also noticed I was the only guy on Good Years ...old Good Years at that...

So, thanks to everyone. I had a GREAT weekend.
