    Default Simply amazing times Brandon.

Curious if you would let us know what your data system shows for optimal acheivable lap time if you connected all your segments up.

I can only imagine the other manufacturers are scratching there heads wondering what they have to do to get into your cloud 9 lap time bracket !!

I know you are running a legal car in all aspects.. but maybe tone it down a little on your pace.. Last thing you want is a 40lb weight penalty for citations !!!!

Looking forward to racing with you in the series next year..

BTW.. watch out, glen has version 2 beta - runoffs edition upgraded shift components being delivered AM to the track he is installing by the time you read this.. should give him a second easy on such a long course... auto configured for nitrous shots and global positioning.. not to mention remote control features so he can drive from his trailer to further reduce weight....

Anyone at the runoffs going by coops car should check out the new front rotor setup

    Default front runners

is Jeremy Hill the only front runner with no testing time?

he probably didn't make much use of Q1 either... i think he's happy with second fastest in Q3

I'm looking forward to the Runoffs 2011 chapter of one of the most intense rivalries in racing - Coop vs. Hill. I can't remember exactly what the record is between them. I think one of them is way faster than the other, but I forget which. I get them mixed up. I think it was the handsome one. Or maybe the funny looking one. Oh, well. It should be good.

In other words, Coop got a ProShift.

I saw them when he opened the box. One word for them: heavy.

JR and Brandon got essentially no testing time either. JR popped a motor after a couple of laps and Brandon got around 10 laps which were all spent testing new wing profiles then his engine blew up. But, Brandon's third lap after unloading the car was a mid 7.

There are 2 DSRs there with carbon brakes. One with carbon springs. Neither legal in FB.

Some sort of drilled, vented, and coated floating rotor that is big enough to stop an American Sedan car. They look nice but they are not light.

There are 3 DSR's that I know of right now that are running carbon-carbon brakes with the big PFC monoblock calipers. Those are some fancy brakes.

I was joking about the Carbon brakes on Coop's car. It they were carbon they would be incredibly light.

Carbon brakes work fine in the wet, but they work best when they're hot. We ran carbon on our LMP1 car in ALMS.

I didn't know they were legal in DSR. It's no wonder why the guys in DSR are saying its expensive.

Carbon Springs? Are serious? That's the first I've heard of that.

Yes, carbon springs. Basically a stack of carbon belleville washers. There are pics of them and also the carbon brakes over on the DSR forum.

(Don't think it will happen this year Kevin, I think a 2:00.5 will be about the best until further developement $$$$$$$$$$ is complete/spent)

Hyperco started working on them a couple of years ago, and have sold a lot of them to the circle track guys to use in place of bump rubbers. The interlocking stacked concept as shown in the pictures came about in some discussions last winter.

    Pretty slick stuff.

Looks like Brandon is going to be hard to beat if he can keep up that pace. Not bad for an "old-fashioned" low-nose car and and open diff!

Well, David Grant is showing up today so if anybody is going to do it, my money would be on David.

The track appears to be really fast right now. Brandon is off trying to fix Coop's shifter at the moment.

Makes the Champ Car record of 1:39.866 seem amazing. Average speed almost 146 mph, which is probably a tad higher than Brandon's top speed.

A DSR 'can' do it. I saw data that had a rolling 1:59.8 from last year's runoffs in a Stohr. Turn 5 to turn 5 as well.

So did JR get the BMW motor working in his car? That's the engine listed on the final qual results sheet.
