1985 Van Diemen RF-85. Formerly Canadian Pro series car. 10 race old Britain West engine with RFD aluminium cylinder head (head freshened 0 hours, new valves and springs). Chassis rebuilt and modified - increased foot clearance in toe box area (fits size 12 shoes), dash rail raised to allow knees to be raised to steering wheel, upper cockpit perimeter bars added, shoulder belt mounts placed to suit Hans device. New fuel cell cover fabricated of 6061-T6 aluminium. All rod ends new or in excellent condition. Bodywork stripped to gel coat and repaired as needed, with new paint (not a pro paint job but nice). Pi C-dash with water temp, oil pressure, RPM and wheel speed sensors. Two sets of slightly scruffy wheels, 4 bolt hubs. Rebuilt brake calipers and master cylinders, rebuilt clutch slave with spare kit, new throw-out bearing to suit 7.25" Quartermaster clutch. New pedal box of billet aluminium. Currently set up to fit 6'-2" driver.
Car was renovated to be a personal car, but driver was too 'fat' to fit at 230 lbs. Car was complete and race ready after completion, now needs a solid race prep after storage for 2 years. No seat belts or battery (takes an Odyssey PC-680 size). Roll hoop is skinned double hoop to European/Canadian spec, not to SCCA spec. CASC log book, and FIA ASN Canada log book.
Price is $7,000. Car is located in Dundas, Ontario (one hour west of Toronto)
