Has anyone worked out a gear/RPM/MPH graph for the new Radial Avons and the 13-36 Ring and pinion gears?? I called Taylors but they had nothing. All my old 10-31 graphs are no help. Anyone??

Not sure if this helps but if you are feeling ambitious you can build your own...

MPH= Tire Diameter in inches X RPM / 336 X Diff gear ratio X Trans Gear Ratio

    I think that's it...
Ingredients: Nothing but Barley, Hops, Water & Yeast.

For quick gear selection with flexibility and good graphics, I can recommend Ratio 1.1, sold by Taylor. You drop in tire circumference and diff ratio, then work through your gear options. It costs around $78.

You can also work a proportion equation and do a mathematical relationship which will give you the correct gear ratios. We had to do this before a gear chart for 10/31 ring and pinions was printed up.

GT1Vette has done a great little Excel program that is a joy to use.

Provides speeds at 100 rpm increments from 5500 to 7000, drops, for all 4 gears, (easy to add 5th and 6th if needed) etc.
You can plug in any tire diameter, ring/pinion ratio...add the ratios on the fly and watch what happens.

I'd pass it out as freeware, but it's not mine to pass out.

No copywrites or patents to be infringed - it's just an Excel spreadsheet. Frog's is already set up for a 4-speed (mine is a 5-speed with drop gears as well), so ask him for a copy.
