Default % power loss to Hewland?

Anyone have a figure on power loss precentage on a dyno for the MK 8/9 Hewland? Car is 88 VD.
    Thanks in advance.

By comparing engine builders dyno numbers to a chassis dyno I've been using 13% as total drive train loss. I know that is a bit of apples and oranges, but it's been repeatable.

    Ron,
Wow. Interesting number, interesting thread. I look forward to more responses. Does chassis dyno @ 13% have pads in the calipers, and what other variables? How would you measure just the Hewland power loss, without CVs, brakes, upright bearing drag, tire diameter, etc being a factor? Would the gear ratio matter?

We are considering taking some of our boxes over to the ARC rig here in Mooresville. We want to test a standard box, an uprated/coated box and one of our new boxes that we have developed over the winter.

If we do this there will be an option to test with uprights, axles, wheel bearings, different greases etc.. if anyone is interested, from a transmission standpoint we would obviously share any data we gather.
