    Default IRDC 4 Hour Enduro

Short notice but here it is:

    IRDC 4 Hour Enduro - April 10, 2011 - INFO PAGE
    Enduro Racers,

IRDC is very proud to present the 6th Annual "4 Hours of Pacific Raceways" on April 10, 2011. This INFO PAGE will be kept up to date with updates of race information and a detailed list of participating drivers. Please utilize this thread to ask questions of the Race Chairman or contact me directly: (425) 785-2376, fdimiceli@comcast.net

    GENERAL NOTES:
    - Entry method on motorsportreg is for PRIMARY DRIVER only. All other drivers are requested to fill out the 2011 IRDC Enduro Entry Form and return entry forms to PRIMARY DRIVER who should submit ALL team entries at one time to IRDC Registrar.
    - All drivers must have current 2011 licenses. Note that 2010 ICSCC Licenses expire by race date - RENEW EARLY!
    - A detailed DRIVER ENTRY LIST of all drivers entered will be we kept at this location. Just provide me your updates on this thread or contact me directly.

SPECIAL REQUEST TO POTENTIALLY NEW ENDURO RACERS:
IRDC invites you to consider running your first Enduro. As a regular Conference sprint racer, you probably have racing buddies that are Enduro regulars. During the two 2010 Enduros, both IRDC and Cascade created an easy way to participate in Endurance racing for the first time with your regular sprint car. Again this year, IRDC is utilizing multiple LIMITED classes (no Enduro mods needed for your car, limited tire changes, etc.) in our Enduros. Cars and teams can easily participate in Enduros for the first time (as long as your car meets safety requirements of ICSCC Championship racing). Come experiance the TEAMWORK, CAMARADERIE, and increase your racing skill in a challenging new racing environment. Instead of racing against your buddies all weekend long, create a new Enduro TEAM and race as a TEAM with your buddies. I'm sure our Enduro regulars will provide assistance and encouragement to new Enduro participants, just ask. I am looking forward to my first Enduro competing in a LIMITED Class (L3) in my Spec Miata. Come join us! Thanks, F.D.

    Default Entry revision

Up to 18. Matches last years. Still plenty of room. If not, plan for next year!! Look for an ICSCC Enduo this fall at Portland International Raceway also.

Interesting concept, Kyle, but I have a couple of questions. First, all I see in the photos are sedans. Are open wheel and sports racers permitting in these enduros?

Second, is there a handy link to the organization putting on these races? The one link above is dead.

Sports racers were in the race when I was there and I'm sure they are still allowed.

    Stan,

YES sports racers are invited and permitted in the enduro races. The April race has a "SOLID" history of being run in pouring rain or, 3" deep snow (last year). So sports racers aren't exactly enthusiastic about it.

We were expecting the GTM-R you saw at Thunderhill to be here. But, he was a no show.

I think some BIG HONKING sports racer usually wins the Portland Fall event.

This year we had one SRF entered. He did a good job and took home the trophy for the SR class despite (I'm guesing) 12 to 14 spins.

We also have a group just for Legends cars. But none showed this year.

Here's the Supp. Reg's for the event which will give you a good idea about how it's run: NOTE: SCCA licensed drivers and cars WELCOME.

The spring and fall Enduros are put on by the "host" clubs within the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs.

Spring Enduro is hosted by IRDC (International Race Drivers Club) who's home track is Pacific Raceway.

The Fall Enduro is hosted by CSCC (Cascade Sports Car Club) who's home track is Portland International.

    STRUCTURE:

ICSCC - International Conference of Sports Car Clubs (the governing body):
    http://www.icscc.com/index.php

Is made up of the FIVE member clubs.......

IRDC (International Race Drivers Club) in the Seattle area:
    http://www.irdc-racing.com/

    CSCC (Cascade Sports Car Club) in the Portland area;
    http://www.cascadesportscarclub.org/

TC (Team Continental) located in Portland and calls Oregon Raceway Park it's home

    Northwest Motorsports in Spokane
    http://www.northwestmotorsports.org/

SCCBC Sports Car Club of British Colombia
    http://www.sccbc.net/

Each club hosts it's own races but within the schedule agreed to under the ICSCC Banner.

Within ALL of these clubs is another sub group that we are very honored to have among us. That's the PRO-3 racers. A group of guys who came up with an idea for 'low cost' fun racing and needed a home. ICSCC welcomed them and they have grown in to a serous 'racing power' and organization for civic good here in the Northwest. Patrick Dempsey carried the PRO -3 club logo on his car at the 24 Hours of Daytona.

PRO 3 (have about 45 to 48 cars and still growing):
    http://www.pro3-racing.com/

We have another much loved sub-culture within ICSCC. That's the guys who like al lot of tire smoke with their racing... lol

GROULD POUNDERS ASSOCIATION (31 to 35 members):
    http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=106134536080675

    NEW TRACK:
In addition to all of that, we have a group of drivers in ICSCC that are working on (investing in) a new track for the Puget Sound area. They've had the final meetings with the county planners and BOD. Just waiting for a conditional use permit to be issued (within next 30 days) to begin construction on.... THE RIDGE MOTORSPORTS PARK.....

They are already preparing the "private residence" area for the T Mazama Pocket Gophers as an environmental alleviation.

You'll notice on the "HOME" page, you can already drive it in a SIM

    FINALLY:
We use MotorsportReg for ALL ICSCC events now. Not sure why the link above doesn't work but here's a good one:
