1974 Caldwell D13.
Northeast car since new, located near Pocono Racetrack.
Former John Maloney # 55, currently Bill Carroll #55
Currently Pitman Purple
2009 - 7 starts, no DNF's (including practice runs), 7 podium finishes with the FRCCA
7 races on fresh engine by Dave Satterly, recent LRE shortbox. Full spare body set & 3 noses, options for cooling, through nose (current) or rear scoops included with spare body.

New 2009:
Brake pads, heim joints (all), trailing arms, fuel cell & cockpit braded lines w/AN fittings, offset front kingpin bushings by Dietmar, new link pins & bushings, rewired, axle boots, F&R seals,Celastos, more.

2010 new floor and 5yr FAI belts

Car is prepped, maintained and ready.

This is a very good, well sorted car. Bill is a first year driver, and he's currently points lead for FV in the ARS. No DNF/DNS.

I did not know that John had a shade of purple named after him. I can understand Freeland Purple because every vee from Freeland has purple on it.

Thank god, that it is not a Gorski engine.

Sorry, about the hi jack, otherwise a good D-13 for someone starting out in Fv racing or hillclimbing.

There are some other items that come with this car. I have a D13 Assembly manual, a second set of wheels w/(Hoosier 45's with a little life left) , a set of rear trailing arms, repaired but usefull.

Last chance, it's in the garage to be gone over through the winter, it probably won't be purple next year, It really only needs a good nut and bolt check and a tune up on the engine (Plugs, points and condenser). This car finished the season as the ARS point Champion with the FRCCA. If it doesn't seel soon I keeping it to chase down FF's with next year! Thanks to everyone at the FRCCA for helping me finish my rookie year with a Chamopinship.

Heat is ready in the garage, so the car will start it winter overhaul later this week. It will probably be midnight blue with scoops all over the place. Steve McWillimas car was fierce looking and I have to try to go with that. Last chance or I keep the 2009 Class Champoin FRCCA FV.

Gorski engines are enerally good. They did have some problems but that was with creativity, you never know unless you try something a bit off the normal.

I helped john put his D13 together when he brought the kit home from autodynamics in Marbelhead, Mass. The purple was a stock gelcoat color, Tom Gunshannon also bought and raced one the same color. By the way the engine in johns D13 was a Gorski engine that was replaced later by a Bill Scott engine, brfore Bill Scott bought Summit Point he raced formula vee and super vees successfully.
