    Default FV fluids

Being new to FV, I was looking for advise on what's the "norm" for fluids. Gear oil, Engine oil, Brake fluid, grease.

If I had to run tomorrow, I would most likely run what I ran in the fords. 80/90 gear oil, Mobil 1 10w30 with zinc, simple dot 3 brake fluid, and synthetic blend grease.

But, for the vee, is there any unique fluids used? What's common knowledge that has been learned for the past 50 some years?

    Thanks,
    Tad

And if you ran that you wold be fine. That is pretty much what all the Vee divers use and are recommended by builders.

Thanks for the info guys. Also, do I need to get a grease gun for the zerks? Or, can I just pack the bearings during assembly and be good to go.

You will at some point want a grease gun to purge the front beam. Those 4 zerks are for the bushings in the beam. You can just hand pack your wheel bearings periodically.
