Default running test bench for K7 GSXR?

Has anyone ever made a basic test bench for the purpose of running an engine before installing in the chassis? I am trying the junkyard engine route and if a simple test rig could be made, it could save some grief. Heck, if it were portable, I could test used engines before I buy....

At the very least, it would be nice to verify oil pressure with known oil temperature and RPM and that all the gears shift correctly.

One idea would be to use a crashed bike with a simplified harness (as in the car). The stock dash could be helpful.

An oil cooler would probably not be necessary as the oil temp does not get hot unless running the car.

Of course, if it is a big hassle, I could just install in the car and hope for the best.

    Thanks.

Cut the front half off a bike and put the rear wheel on a roller.

Making the test stand might be more work than installing it into the race car.

Probably best to do what you can(*) to get a healthy engine and cross your fingers.

    * Compression test, leakdown test, remove cam cover and oil pan and inspect. Look at plugs, odometer, sprocket and other things for wear. Research the seller, talk to the owner/crasher, ...
