Dakota Donovan
In a very tragic and terribly sad event, Dakota Donovan (son of David Donovan, long time FM driver) was killed Wednesday night in an accidental shooting. Dakota was a front runner in SRF and had just tested an FE car with Mick Robinson at PBIR not too long ago. An extremely nice guy, and lightning quick in any race car. Such a great kid. Thoughts and prayers go out to David and Lisa Donovan.
Most of us SEDIV guys know what a terrific family the Donovans are. This is a very big loss.
Indeed a terrible trajedy. With teenage kids under my roof, I am still at a complete loss for words. My family's prayers go out to the Donovans.

I just saw this sad news on the SCCA website. I had read the First Gear article a couple days ago so I was especially stunned.

He was a great young man and driver. We are very saddened by his loss. Our sympathy goes out to his family during this terrible time.
