Default What is your F1000 Plans and Schedule for 2011

    Hello all F1000 owner/drivers.

Recently there was a survey sent to F1000 owner drivers. While the input and result focused on the F1000 Championship for 2011, there was no data released about what intentions most F1000 driver/owners have for 2011.

I think that there are now over 40-45+ F1000 race cars nationwide and in Canada. About 10-15 of these cars compete for the F1000 National Championship series based on past data. That leaves over 25 to 30 other owner/drivers unaccounted for.

While some will vie for the F1000 championship, what are the other owner/drivers plans for 2011?

Will you compete in SCCA events?
Will you compete in other racing venues other than SCCA?
Will you just enjoy the car and run open track days?
Will you race in SCCA Regional Events?
Will you race in SCCA National Events?
Will the economy and budget restraints hold you back from racing?

I think it would be great for the F1000 owner/drivers to give us all here on ApexSpeed some idea of what your plans are, and perhaps what tracks you will have your F1000 on. It's always fun to have other F1000's on the track at one time.

While all driver/owners are not out to win a Championship series, or have the large monetary budgets to even run required races for the championship series; I find many own the cars to go out have some real fun in a high performance-high speed race car, compete in a few races and they are happy.

Lets see if others will provide some input as to what your 2011 plans are for your F1000 Formula car. This will give us all a realistic picture of what the owner/drivers intent on owning the F1000 cars is all about.

While we all want to build the class, a F1000 Championship Series is not the only way to do it.

Since it is the winter months and most racing is over, it may be a good time to reflect and focus on what your intent is for getting out with your F1000 race car in 2011.

I am sure that your input would be greatly appreciated by all F1000 owners.
