The bodywork looks like a stealth fighter. how functional is it?

Eric,
The bodywork styling doesn't have an intentional aero advantage if that is what you are asking. There are many parts of the bodywork that do have a specific function. When the shock cover and engine covers are off there is excellent working access to everything.
The side pod bottoms flare out wider than the side pod tops to help prevent other cars from getting their wheels inside. The right side pod houses a large racing radiator. The left side pod is where the battery is housed, and otherwise is designed to direct cold air directly to the intake.
If you take some time to peruse the latest photos you can see a lot of features. Also if anyone would like to make an appointment to see it at our shop in Sonoma (at Infineon Raceway) I'd be happy to give them the close up tour of the car and our facility.

That explains it: The bodywork is very FUNCTIONAL.
