Does anyone know if Honda will offer a conversion kit for Ray FF's?

Are there enough Rays out there for it to be worth their time? I doubt it.

About the same time as they do for an Rf-92.

If you want a Honda, you will likely have to get a Swift DB, Piper, or 01+ VD.

    Default Convertion kits

HPD has no plans to offer additional conversion kits beside the following which are completed:
    1. Swift DB-1
    2. Swift DB-6
    3. Van Diemen RF 99+

Hopefully a race shop can accomodate your engine conversion project.

I'm in progress of installing the Honda Fit in the Vector chassis.

    Best Regards,

I gaurantee with all of the enterprising FF members out there we will see it extend beyond the kits Honda has made available.

(The whole club ford/fit issue alone will make reading this website worth while.)

    .

Adapting the Honda Fit to most FF chassis is simply having an adapter that will mate the engine to an existing bell housing.

I have drawn adapters for the Zink Z10/Z16 and the 94 Citation as well as the new Citation.

The Z10/Z16 adapter replaces the original Ford/VW adapter for use with a MK9 Hewland/Webster gearbox. For the Z10, the issue was keeping the Fit engine within the length of the FF engine. The adapter is slightly shorter than the original adapter used on many FFs.

I have build an adapter for the 94 Citation that uses the existing bell housing with the Ford bolt patern. I have 2 versions of that adapter, one is 1/2 thick and the other is 1" thick.

After the adapter, you will need an input shaft. Taylor is the source for that item.

I am certain that other people are doing the same thing.

Has anyone looked at the Euroswift chassis for a Fit conversion?

Does anyone have a set of Swift DB-1 engineering drawings for the rear end dimensions? Would like to compare that to the SE-1 since it seems to be the closest model

Sounds like potential for a new cotage industry...
