Possible Scam Alert - Ralph Forster

I posted here and on Race-Cars.com looking for springs. Got offered the springs but at a pretty steep price in British Pounds. Pointed out that I could buy the item in the US brand new for a lot less. Immediately the reply comes back that he will accept $US about 1/2 of original asking price. Seemed fishy. He rolled over too easy on the price.

Googled his email handle r.forester30@gmail.com

and got this scam alert http://www.xmission.com/~daina/known_scammers.html

So my assumption at this time is that it is a scammer. Not sure if he snagged my email from here or the other site

Of course only half of the internet is true so perhaps Xmission.com is the bad guy.

Fishy that a guy calling himself Forster (the way his name appears in the email) has an address forester with the "e"

Anyhow, beware in case he made himself a profile here and is mining our Wanted ads

No one registered here with that address, or any form of that name. That's the only way he'd get your e-mail address here, unless you posted out in the open in a thread. That other classifieds is known for facilitating scam artists, too, so that would be my guess of the source.
