    I think they run the fan shroud in Australia.

    Brian,

    The Australian FV rules mandate the use of a stock fan, driven by the stock belt and stock size pulley. Sort of a built in rev limiter and cooling is never an issue.

    When we put the Jacer together, it was designed/constructed with a fan in mind. To keep things simple and get the car on the track, a fan was installed. We simply used a pulley small enough to run 1:1 (rather than the stock (2:1) and it worked fine until a beltless system was designed and constructed.

    Default Borland Sabre 02

    Just to keep this thread on track, here is a photo of the new Borland Sabre 02



    Being that Borland is exporting their Formula Ford to the UK, my bet is that they would be interested in getting a few of these into the US Formula First market.
