Yeah. The only reason I can think of to justify the extra complexity, weight and power loss of power steering in a formula car is if the effort is a lot (super high downforce) and/or the race distances are long (Indy 500) and you have a heavy car.

All you need is a pair of 25 lb dumbbells = Armstrong power steering!

English is pretty good. Better then my Spanish.

Depending upon class (weight limits) there's only about 550 to 700 pounds on the front wheels of amateur open wheel cars. If you have sat in a formula car, you'll find the 'effort' required to steer it while at a dead stop is quite heavy due to the large contact patch of the tires. But once the car is rolling it's very easy to steer.

Reasons for not using power steering.

    1. Turning effort is not that great with manual rack & pinion.
    2. Power steering pump will drain power from the engine. Nobody likes that.
    3. Loss of 'feel' with what the front tire grip if like through the power steering unit.
    4. Added complexity and potential for leaks.

If the driver has some kind of physical impairment that would make life easier with power steering, there's no rule or reason why it couldn't be used.
