Default camber/tire pressures

Can someone let me know a base camber setting for FST.
Also need base tire pressures for front and rear for rain and dry. I assume Zero toe will be good to start. Thanks

Dave probably sent what you need, but there is a good starting setup here:

Chris, base line info from www.formula-first.org :

Alignment Settings
Here is some basic chassis setting info that many have found to be a good base line. Over time, these numbers may change. But for now, they will get you in the general area.

Beam Caster (measured across the upper and lower tubes): 2 to 3 degrees (top tube tipped back)
Note: Always set the caster/camber eccentrics to minimize caster with correct camber set. Always set caster/camber before toe.

Front Camber: 3/4 degree negative each side
Front Toe: Zero to 1/32" out
Rear Camber: 1/2 to 3/4 degree negative each side
Rear Droop: Zero to 1 degree positive (total)
Rear Toe: Zero to 1/32" in

Tire Pressure Range (Hoosier R60):
Front: 12 to 13 psi cold
Rear: 14 to 15 psi cold

At these settings, your car will be pretty happy. Of course your own settings may be adjusted to whatever fits your liking.

Default Thanks Bill

One always wonders where to start when setting up or getting in to a new car.

Rick,

How is your project progressing? Think you'll be ready for the ARRC ? Love to see a photo of the Caracal. People always like to see that type stuff

Rick,

I was hoping you would be ready for the July Road Atlanta race. My old car seems to be like a Galapagos Turtle down here-it is slowly evolving without any outside influences. I'll post some pictures is I see anything changing.

Garry,

Post some photos, new stuff or not. People seem to enjoy posted photos and good chance that many veiwers here have never seen your first class Citation FV conversion.

Default Mid-O test

Thanks fr the help guys,

Just finshed the "test" weekend at Mid-Ohio. It was a good weekend after a slight hit on a concrete wall at the end of the straight. Bent the exhaust, but okay other than that. Had an issue with shock travel. Removal of the bump stop fixed the problem. I went with a very conservative set-up, and everything went well after that. The engine ran great and still need some work on the handling. The inboard shocks built by my brother worked great. I think for Nelson we will add a stiffer shock and work on the front end a bit. The only issue I seemed to have was shifting into fourth. brakes were great, I just need to get used to braking later.

I will post an in-car lap soon.

The FST similar to the formula vee, except when shifting into fourth. It seemed to drive the revs down lower than I expected. When I post the in-car, let me know if you think I need to check the gearing in the trans.
Thanks, see ya at Nelson!

Here is a link to a little bit of in-car. Almost a full a lap, but some reason Flikr always cuts the video short.
