Anyone looking to buy a car or parts steer clear of a prep shop in Surprise, Arizona. I got the very bad end of an Atlantic deal. My fault ? yeah for trusting someone.
I have 2 prep shops both very reputable, as well as an engine builder that agree things are not even close to as "advertised". Yes it's a long story with that involves time and yes money.
I am not going to use this forum as an arbitration board. I have bought and sold many things on this forum including a FE car all have been very good transactions. My last purchase however was not.
I based my decision on that persons reputation and after many long conversations... trust. Well people change over time and perhaps the poor economy makes good people do bad things ?
The car is almost done some 10 months and twelve thousand dollars later. "track ready" = not even close , "hell I'd put my kid in it"= death trap.
Seller was given many chances to make things right as he claimed he would. Turned his back and told me to F off. Sent me a box of used gears ! that helps ?
Do your business with the right people there are many, just none turning wrenches in Surprise, Arizona.
