    Default FA/FB at t!?he Runoffs...who's coming

FA and FB will qualify and race together at the Runoffs this year, and I for one am thinking that this has the makings of a great race! FWIW, at last year's Sprints FA's main bunch qualified at 2:05 - 2:13, while the FBs were at 2:12 - 2:20, which makes for a pretty decent spread.

I'm hoping for 40 cars and the best race of the Runoffs. Yeah, yeah, I know...other classes bring 40 cars all by themselves, but legal freeway speeds do not an exciting race make!

    Let's start a list...

So what do you think...who else is coming? I'll start with...

    Rennie Clayton - FA

    Dan Robinson - FB
    Brandon Dixon - FB
    Glen "Gian-Carlo" Cooper - FB

I predict that Brandon Dixon will be significantly faster than a 2:12 in his FB. At Road Atlanta Brandon was only around 1.7 seconds slower in qualifying than Grant was in his 014. So far this year Brandon has been within a second or two of top-level National FA times.

I don't doubt that FBs will best last year's time of 2:12 if the weather cooperates. Heck, the pole time last September for FC was a 2:12, and I'm betting that under similar conditions that an FB will be quicker than an FC. Fifty more hp and 200 lbs less weight has to count for something!

I think that Niki has already gone 2:09 at the last chance national. I expect that will fall again at the Cat National.

Once somebody figures out these FB cars, they are going to go as fast as the FA cars.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Rick. I'll be at the Runoffs for sure. I think that the FB field there will be very, very competitive.

Fortunately for us GC, Niki's lap was "only " a 2:08.7. He clearly raised the bar more than one notch with that one!

    Default Sorry part deux

Umm, it was late (?), and I STILL can't find the trailer keys.
Takin' the ol bolt cutters out there in a bout an hour...

It was really late Part III

I now see this is Runoffs and not June Sprints related, sooooooo please disregard the Hat Trick reference above.

I really gotta get some sleep!

I believe that Niki would have finished second in a very competitive Atlantic field at that race.

I'm going to predict that at least 4 people go faster than that at RA this year (Niki included).

He actually finished 3rd, beating all but two Atlantics!:
