    Default Holy Cow...a flying FIT!

I ran across a story in my latest issue of EAA Sport Aviation magazine regarding a Honda FIT aircraft engine conversion. Very cool...you can see the details here: http://www.eggenfellneraircraft.com/...20Engines.html

Now when I'm through racing my FIT I can put it in my Hatz biplane. This deal just keeps getting better!

Well, I guess if the thing doesn't fall out of the sky with the engine being laid over 90 degrees I would suspect any concerns on oiling in our application are probably moot...

Add $3900.00? Somebodys making Money on this deal. But then anyone who has been around Airplanes knows they can make Racing look cheap.

Default How about a model "A" Ford powered one?

I've flown a model A powered airplane before...does that count? Of course it only put out 40 - 50hp. Your point is well taken though...aircraft engines work their asses off running 70 to 90% power from throttle up on takoff till landing. Converting an auto engine for aviation applications is no easy task.

Makes our Honda Racing Line deal look better everyday. Personally I'd use the HPD conversion package and this guy's prop drive. I'd stand the motor upright in my homebuilt's airframe, like it's mounted in our FF's. I've been considering a similiar conversion based on a Honda Civic engine conversion.
