Coop has said that he is planning to come.

Tom Schwietz is trying to finish his car in time to make it.

It sure would be nice to have 7 or 8 cars....

Plus 5-6 FA's; it should be a fast field. Those poor FE & FM's are really going to be busy with their mirrors unless they opt to be put with the 2 sports racers.

That's a great turnout! More F1000s than FC and FF so far.

If I saw Coop's car apart in his garage at 1:00 AM March 6, I'd still expect to see him take the green. :-).

My car isn't track ready, but I may come down to watch and listen, especially since there may be a good FB car count.

    Default Scuse Il Retarde...

I beter enter this thing today before the rumors really start flying!

Thanks Russ, You've seen that scenario play out so many times over the years to know it's FACT!

Car is ready to go, in the trailer with like 3 weeks to go before the race.
I Guess I'm turning over a new leaf...

Any interest from the Northern contingent? You know you don't want to wait until May to see all of us.

If anyone wants to take advantage of this national and then the Road Atlanta national 2 weeks later, we will find a way to make it work. I could help you get to the airport and pick you up again and make sure that your rig is in Atlanta on time. We'll also figure out somewhere to safely store the rig between the races (I can think of several good options if RA is not a possibility).

After practice this morning FB was moved from group 6 to group 4 with the sports racers which is going to be better for everybody. The FA guys are going to have their own race and the FB guys can have their own.

    The grid is :

    Dixon 1:03.7
    Cooper 1:06.1
    Beattie 1:06.2
    McLaughlin 1:06.2
    Lane (I forgot)

The race should be between 1 and 2 tomorrow.

Congrats, Brandon & Wren. That's fast. Just reward for all your hard work.

That's a tight group behind you.

Glad to hear you got separated from FA. That mixture was bound to affect both classes.

    Good luck, all.

    Pictures from this weekend

Brandon's new diffuser, he hasn't had much of one on the car before, this should be as wide as the FB rules allow.

New bodywork to go to the maximum width allowable in FB. You can see how much narrower Brandon has been running than the full width allowable.

Even as narrow as Brandon's sidepods are, the car has never run hot in the last year. The oil this weekend was 230 out of the engine before the cooler and the water temp was sitting on the thermostat and never went over 180

    Beattie's and Lane's cars

    Thanks John and Glenn.

As they say, "the package is coming together".

We try to make the car a little bet better every time we head to the racetrack, and the driver is finally getting rid of the rust after an 8 year break from racing.

We had a big dose of luck at Roebling as well. Let's just say that instead of a rabbit's foot, I now have a lucky camlock receptacle.

I'm looking forward to being at Road Atlanta at the end of the week.

    Default and a big thanks

to Tom, Glenn, and Brandon for their help. Turns out it wasn't ignition problems, but clogged injectors(again). This new fuel cell problem should be known to everyone putting together a new car. Tom turned me onto a five micron filter, but saw a one micron Canton filter in the pegasus catelog. Any info on that?

Anyways, the car went real fast for a little while, while I was hanging on and trying to knock off some major rust accumulation as well.

Again, thanks everyone. I had a blast!

    Brett
