    Default Smiths Gauges

Not sure where to post this question so hopefully this will work. Has anyone seen a guide to Smiths mechanical gauges? I would like to be able to distinguish what tachs are used on motorcycles and which are for automobile/racing use. Thanks for your help.

The above website is the US servicer and importer of Smiths. They might be able to help you.

I believe both race bikes and cars used the same type mechanical tachs during the 50's and 60's. Just different sizes and scales.

Smiths gauges only give you a indication that something is happening, don't read to much into what they say, been there done that, Bang!
