An “unconventional” proposal..…would you like some free help?

If you would like some free help for your team on/off the track, I would like to offer my services. I’m mechanically inclined, familiar with racing/driving, and would be willing to help any most any capacity applicable.

Why would I be willing to offer my time/help for free?? The short version is this; I love racing. All I ever really wanted to do was race. I have raced different types of karts over the years, but at this time it is not something that I can revisit. I still would like to be a part of open-wheel road racing in any capacity possible; therefore I’m placing this ad. The only thing that I ask in return is that (when time allows) you field a few of my dumb questions about the car (as I mentioned earlier, all my racing experience has been in karting…). It may prove to be helpful upon my return to racing….

Am I crazy? Well, that is certainly up for debate, but I’m a clean-cut 37 year old business professional that will represent your team professionally at the track (or I can help work on the car off the track, outside of family obligations).

I have crewed for fun for years... I started racing in the late 80's I have worked on everything from a formula Vee up to an Atlantic. Even made it to the runoffs. All i have ever asked for was decent sleeping accomidations & decent food. Cant say I have always gotten both LOL but usually I have. It is funny that alot of drivers cant understand that some of us just enjoy turning wrenches.
