What if they threw a race and nobody came...
I'd love to see their definition of "low turnout." Not to be disparaging, but MC's event there last weekend had the highest entry since 1982 -- 84 cars plus 9 "touring" cars.
Flashback to 1995... the Vintage, smallbore Prod group, and "MiniMania Challenge" group were all so small that they were combined into one group. At one point, we had one car on the track.
But what a shame! Not just to lose a race weekend, but especially a weekend at that track! My heart goes out to all the drivers, workers, & crew who were hoping to be there.
GingerMan 1996 (first car race there): three groups -- open wheel, SS/IT, and other closed wheel. But the beer was flowing by 4:30 that weekend...

In the South, you cancel an event, you still pay the track. That can really wreck a region's budget, especially at our rental rates.
If anyone was planning on towing to Mich. to race this weekend you still can at Waterford. It's a tough, tight 1.5 mile track with a lot of FC entries this weekend. Check out www.waterfordhills.com
