Default MAM National Race results controversy

It seems the forces of evil have conspired again to take a good man and demote him to the rear after the race for a spurious reason based on an not quite so clear rule in the GCR wherre the intent of the rule has been overwhelmed by the letter of the rule.

Even those not in this class might be aware of a potential Tech crackdown going to old obscure rules in the GCR.

At the Mid-America Motorplex National on August 16, the F500 Side pod rule which was printed with conflicting errors in the 2009 GCR was used to strip a hard earned finishing position from a competitor. Stewards at the event used multiple statements of forgone outcome to disuade the competitor from persuing the SCCA Protest/Appeal process within the time limits of such process.
The erroneous rule printing and it's flawed application were brought to the attention of the CRB. Upon the presentation of the applicable facts and historical GCR materials the following was issued by the CRB.

Congratulations to the CRB in getting this matter corrected and in an expeditious manner.

    Thank YOU!
