Default I noticed something in the Supp's

In regard to group photo opportunities, presumably on the front straight.
If so I'd really like to get in on this as we did not do anything last year, and at the first FB ARRC I didn't have a car!
Hopefully the times allowed will not conflict with the Fri eve bash.
Mo' info as it becomes available.

Jason you so need to look into a rental, we'd welcome credentialed drivers such as yourself, but first a warning. These cars are highly addictive and you might just end up throwing rocks at your Ralt FA upon return to MI. Just sayin'...

    Default Rentals

UT Russ, I know Jeff Dinges out of Texas (dmgracer.com) has a Stohr FB car that he has rented in the past. I thought we had a thread, possibly sticky(?) in regard to this.
Maybe McLaughlin had/has as well. I gotta dig a little for ya...

As the CFC field is not developing, I've put some feelers out for a FB rental. Not sure if I want to swing the $$ on that, but who knows. I should have rented Dustin's car while I had the chance.

Or sell it before the ARRC! Watch the entry list for updates.

Maybe Jeremy will let me borrow his photon because when I ran out of rocks to throw at the Ralt I started throwing $$$$. I guess there is always the Crossle to take but who won't want to drive an FB at the ARRC.

What kind of Ralt is it and how many rocks? Maybe he will trade you, he can always build another Photon.

    Jason,

A "credentialed" driver such as yourself should definitely be driving an FB at the ARRC!! And if you are tired of throwing things at the old Ralt......I will be more than happy to drive it in the FS class for no charge .

Still only 10 drivers registered? Get those entries in!

Don't forget about the Friday night party. With Mike Devins manning the grill and Coop assisting, you won't want to miss it. And if the food isn't enough, there will be lots of door prizes. Quite possibly enough that everyone will go home with something.
Party time is right around 6:30 on Friday night at Critter (Chris Young)'s trailer. This will be a great opportunity to meet other F1000 drivers, builders, and hangers on.

    I know I can't wait!

    Default ARRC buzz

I see a Stohr entered (JR Osborne). I was starting to wonder if the ARRC was going to have its first F1000 race without one.

Current entry looks a little thin compared to what I was hearing a month ago. Hopefully more are planning to come but haven't registered yet.

Hey, Jerry, we may have ourselves a couple of top ten finishes in the 2009 ARRC! :-).

Two F600 cars are entered. One FS car.

Average high temp for that November weekend is 67 degrees.

My car is in good shape, I think, thanks to Mike Holland's loaner fuel cell (and thanks to numerous others who offered help). I have a chassis dyno appointment 10/30 to play with the Power Commander, and have enough nice, low-time tires to do the full ARRC test day (Thanks, Keith!). Maybe get enough seat time to advance from 'moving chicane' to 'conversion contender'. :-).

You may have a top 10 finish Russ, but I'm pretty sure Gary Hickman and 1 or 2 more will show up. I hope so anyway. So, I'll probably still be 11th or worse but that's ok as long as I can go home with something to work on for next year. I'm not ready to start building the JF2 yet. The test day is still up in the air. Taking off 3 days is hard on a poor working stiff. No vacation left.

Hey Sean O., I finally locked the brakes and smoked the tires. Maybe I'll have a little more confidence(balls) around people and the corner entry. Now if I can just find the corners.

Yep, we plan to be there. Tony is putting the new engine in as I post this. Going back to WSIR Wednesday to test the new engine and our new flaps. Wish us luck. FYI down in the teens now at WSIR about a second off the DSR times...makin' progress.

Fairly certain Dustin will show up.....he's got a new pilot.

Good deal Jerry. That should definately add some confidence. (Jerry had some strange masters that ended up being the problem- he could stand on the brakes and they would not lock up).

'Sean's' car is going in for a 'sanitization' as Glenn calls it. It just got a new motor and oil coller, it just needs to have the wiring cleaned up and the plumbing re-worked. I spent a year screwing around with heating issues and wiring grimlens instead of racing. Once it's 100% it will probably be available for rent, hopefully with Mitchell Racing supporting it.

With the Phoenix and Edge cars plus the ones registered that's 10 different chassis and if we get the Speads its 11. That's incredible!

Anyone who wants a car needs to be in Atl. next weekend. Should be good if the rain stays away.

Do you have an 07-08 Suzuki with wet sump? Any ideas on the cause?

An '08 with a trapdoor wet sump. Won't know the extent of the damage until we open it up, but Chris shut it down before it could seize/blow up so we're hopeful that the crank can be salvaged. We're looking back through the data for clues and we'll let the group know what we find out.

We weren't able to attend the ARRC anyway, so that softens the blow. A bit.

I have a feeling the combination of Phil & the Phoenix could be potent. I wish them good luck. I don't think anyone will be surprised if the 09 Phoenix is super fast.

Sean, we'll all be thinking about you at the ARRC. Just wont be the same without you. Hard to imagine an ARRC F1000 championship race without your Novak prototype. Good luck with your recuperation.

Phil DeLaO was my eKartingNews.com Young Driver of the Year in 2008 and is a great young karter, a student of pro karter and Bondurant Superkart School chief instructor and General manager Alan Rudolph. Phil is very quick, intelligent, mature and well-spoken. I think you'll all be very impressed.

Default Blast from the recent past

Rudolph was definitely one of the quicker Star Mazda guys I ran against w/ the old car.
If he's been whispering in Phil's ear all this time, I can only imagine the potential.
