We're going to invest in sending Al Craighead down to cover the race this year, plus we're putting up $100 for the pole. Al will be doing paddock notes in our forums and will be posting daily race reports with full results on EFCN each day. Should be a great race!

    Default can't come

My new RFR has assembly issues that can't be overcome in 2 days. Car, engine, AIM, and shocks all delivered in the last 6 days. I'm disappointed but the car needs to be right. I was looking forward to meeting you guys. See you around and at the runoffs next year.

Sorry to hear that, David. I'm sure that's a disappointment. Your fun will need to be delayed a little longer. Seems to be a lot of that going on these days..

I think that means we have a field of 13 FB cars out of the 25 in group 6.

Good job, Coop. Let's try to sign up ASAP. In the past it has gotten dark fast.

After we qualify (and groups 7 & 8) there is a pro-IT race we'll probably have to wait to finish before the photo shoot.

    Default Darkness

definitely comes fast this time of year.
Perhaps it would be better to try and do our own thing, w/ some type appropriate backdrop?

    Default ARRC Photos

I would appreciate any quality photos from the ARRC and the FB class for the F1000 owner/drivers website.

Please forward to the address below, including the group photo, so I can place that on the feature.

I would add you if I knew how to do it through the Motorsports Reg site but since registration is closed I can't do anything.

If someone can tell me how to add you I'll do it.

I don't think you can do it through Motorsportreg, but you can either contact the registrar via e-mail (try Gwen: atlantaregioninc@bellsouth.net) or just do it when you register at the track.

So, here's what the tally looks like just days before the fun begins:

    Jerry Freeman-JF-1
    Russ McBride-VD
    Steve Oseth-Firman
    Brandon Dixon-Citation
    Niki Coello- Firman
    Jason Slahor- VD-Novak

    Glenn Cooper- VD-Novak
    Bill McLaughlin Jr-Firman
    JR Osborne- Stohr
    Jeremy Hill- Photon
    Chris McNitt- Stohr
    Lewis Cooper Jr-Piper
    Phil De La O- Phoenix
    Phil Holden- Firman

If you're one of these drivers, please forward a brief driver bio to me and Al Craighead (acraighead@howdenmediagroup.com). There will be media coverage by eformulacarnews.com, GoRacingTV.com, RaceFanRadio.com, plus the track announcer, so the more info we have, the more likely you'll get some coverage.

There is almost $5,000 in prize money that will be awarded at the ARRC. Some highlights:

    • $500 to the race winner
    • $1000 to the series champion
    • $1000 to the Hat Trick Winner (Glenn Cooper is eligible by winning the June Sprints and his division- no pressure, Coop.)
    • $100 to the pole winner
    • $200 to the driver that posts the quickest lap of the weekend

The F1000 Championship party will be Friday night around 6:30 at Chris Young's (Critter) trailer in the pro paddock. EVERYONE is invited whether you're racing or not, whether you own an F1000 or not. The food will be provided by Mike Devins of Hurley Racing Products, which is reason enough to attend. However, there will also be LOTS of door prizes (GOOD door prizes, too.) Just make a nominal donation and get a name tag.

Remember, F1000 will be a part of the Runoffs in 2010 so this might be your last opportunity to race at the ARRC in F1000!

Default Cars good to go hauler not

    Russ
Our test session went as planned, the car is sitting ready to go. We discovered yesterday when loading up that our box van had a major automatic transmission leak. We fixed it today but we'd have to drive non stop to make it....it's about a 42 hour drive for us. Going shopping for a new tow rig.
