Also new photos of Mike Beauchamp's beautiful VD F1000 also added to F1000 owner/drivers website.

I'm interested in seeing/hearing about Ron Ignatowski's F1000 race car, currently racing in the northeast. I understand it is a VD RF94/95 conversion using a jack shaft. I'm guessing Ron is not a regular Apexspeed visitor. Does anyone have any details or pictures? Just curious.

I'm pretty sure I remember Ron racing in FC a few years ago, also in a red/white car. Maybe in a '89-ish Reynard?

For some silly reason, I'm shocked to hear about an F1000 conversion that the Apexspeed community doesn't know about. I think the world should revolve around Apexspeed. :-)

I don't think Ron has shown up on any of the various lists of F1000 owners, has he? Maybe he's smart (unlike me) and wants to work out bugs before going public.

I had heard about Ron's car over a year ago at NHMS. He had just left there because his chain broke when I got there. And I recall racing with him about 8-9 years ago in FC. That's the car he converted.

The FV board says his car overheated at LRP... he did get credit - did 15 laps.

Thanks everyone for the fine comments on the F1000 owner/drivers gallery and webpage.

We have a diverse collection of F1000 cars in the USA. The website shows that the class in general is growing, and there is lots of excitement about F1000 ownership. Its great to see all the different types and paint work.

Glenn Cooper....you are the Champ. As of 8-4-2009 the National SCCA has Glenn Cooper leading the 2009 Super Sweep Points Championship with 89 points, Mark Jaremko with 81 points, David Burkett with 73 points.

Richard, I guess that means I'm the Super Sweep champ, but the F Thou National Championship race won't happen till the 2009 ARRC, still a few months away.

To view the photobook of all F1000 cars, look under the photos and click on

It's a nice presentation of all the cars.

There are so many ways to view the photos on the website in albums, slideshows, larger images etc.

Bill emailed his photo to me. If any other owner/drivers have photos of their F1000's please email so I may add them. The feedback on the website has been great.

I would really like to see some photos of the Firman F1000 race machines here.

The website provides the opportunity to see what other F1000 owners are driving, the colorful cars, and is the most comprehensive collection of Formula F1000 race cars on the internet. Please feel free to provide the link to other interested racers, family members and friends.

This is a voluntary effort on my part to build interest in our very own class.

Please continue to provide feedback whether positive or negative, as I am always trying to enhance and improve the website. If you want to order prints of your car, you may do so direct from the shutterfly service. I receive NO compensation from Shutterfly for photos that you order.
