Lap Record? I sincerely believe the 1:55.560 is, BUT I can't seem to find any mention of lap records from DIS in any of the common places; EFCN, etc...
Anyone know FB 'tona times from the last 2 years?
On the race results sheet, there is mention of new lap records for other classes in our run group, but nuthin' in regard to FB...

The fastest race lap last year was
David Clarke 2:09.927
A 2:06 was the fastest at the Daytona double regional in 2008.
Ken Tyrell ran a 1:59.048 in qualifying in the Daytona Nat 2007, he did not start the race. Ken was listed as a F1000 for this event.
There was no Daytona Regional races in 2007.
So it looks like you have the FB record, congrats.

I'd be surprised if you didn't have the track record. If you do, it's a shame the race results didn't reflect it. I'd be tempted to contact the T&S folks to see what they think. I wish there was a better way to get accurate info about lap records.

You almost certainly have the Daytona FB record. I would definitely contact the T&S folks for clarification and/or correction. As time goes by it will be difficult to correct any errors. Remember the 1:56 FM lap "record" at VIR that lasted for many years?

Lapping Daytona
Here's the first Q.
No Test Day. left side tires difficult here to get temp/grip.
I don't know how to edit the thing, so save yourself some time and get to 6 minute mark, watch a few laps and then end w/ a huge Coop-gaff and get busted for excessive speeding on hot pit road, something like 3x's the posted (in the sup's) speed. Ouch.

Are you using XP or Vista? Should have a "Movie Maker" in the factory software to edit movies.
