Hi:
I checked the online registration for the Pocono dbl and there are no entries listed for FF or CF.
I've sent mine in via mail so I'm not on the list.
Anybody going to the event that hasn't registered yet?

I'm missing this event for the first time since I started racing in '97 due to a family commitment on the Saturday. Too expensive to go out just for Sunday to do a short race starting at the back (2nd row?) and then turn around and go back home.
Looking at the entry list, I may not be missing much.

I plan on going just haven't got around to doing the entry yet. I guess I could be doing that rather then reading Apex speed but what fun would that be.

what Ed said. Just not coming up to speed yet. Its early in the season, reactions are slow, car is not running well (actually not at all)....
See you there
I will be there with my new to me car, trying my best to stay out of everybodies way while figuring out the thing. Just wish I could made a track day first to dial it in but it didnt happen.

I'm registering tomorrow, as Roux said, I'm a bit behind on the car prep this year. I'm doing my set-up this week, so I should be good to go!

I did Summit Point two weeks ago and the entries were quite sparse (3CFs and 2FFs) and I ended up by myself on the track. I am debating between Pocono and VIR for May 10 weekend - I know that the Summit Point CF regulars are headed to VIR since its a MARRS race. I hate Pocono in the rain and its rains a lot at Pocono in May, so I think I'm going to wait for a weather forecast.
Hasn't rained at Pocono the last 4 years or so. Sounds like lots o fun.

It's not how fast you go.
It's how well you go fast.
Alan -- You are correct -- I guess I remember several years before that when we had monsoons in May at Pocono several years in a row. That makes me a definite maybe for the weekend.
I've been there a few times where during the monsoon rains where you had to blow through a large lake going into one.
Typically you'd get water in the carb and have to feather the throttle until it cleared.
My favorite memory was around 2001 where a freak cold front came through late in the season and racing through a blinding vertical snow squall from the tunnel turn along the whole back stretch.
Looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend.

It can rain hard at Pocono - I think this is from 2003.

The pic above was the 04 double National (I think) 8' of water in the tunnel and Porsche 911's floating across the garage area into the side of motorhomes! I don't think I have ever seen rain like that in my life !
