    Default Titan Steering Rack Disassembly?

    Hi folks,

Did a search, and didn't find a clear answer to my question...

When disassembling a Titan-style steering rack down to its component pieces, in which direction should the pinion gear be pressed out? Toward the backlash adjusting ring ("front" in my case), or toward the steeting column linkage ("rear"). The folks at Pegasus were good enough to supply me with the adjustment instructions, but it doesn't cover the removal of the rack and pinion.

Just wanted to do the pre-season prep, and didn't want to break anything in the process, lol.

    Thanks,
    Erik

I would say to take the ring off and push it out that direction.

No press should be needed other than a strong finger. Do not force it under any circumstances.

    Default Titan manual?

Where did you get the drawing? Is there a Titan assembly manual somewhere?

    Thanks,
