    Default 40th Festival Photo Thread

It might be many months down the road, but we're trying to put something together as a little Meet & Greet for ApexSpeed members at the 40th. In lieu of walking around with a photo of your car and your screen name taped to your shirt, it was suggested that it might be nice to get an idea of the cars and faces of those who will be in attendance at the event.

My car won't be ready in time (nor will I), and everyone knows what my DB1 looks like by now, so I'll forgo throwing them up again.

Please do feel free to post pictures of you and/or your car(s) that will be at the 40th here.

If all goes to plan, this will be my ride.

    Here's my Zink and me.
I've shaven the goatee since this photo, 'cause a friend who hadn't seen me in some time, said I resembled Burl Ives.

Something about my current waistline, or lack thereof.

One of the Ferret, one of me cursing the Ferret (or about to).

I found this R&T pic from way back. This will help many of you identify my boat from the stern. I suspect many will see it as they draft by on the looooong straits!

Looking forward to meeting many of you.

These photos were taken at the SCCA booth at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show. Many thanks to: LibertyMotorsports.net, YourLogoNow.com, RLAutoBody.com and ShawCraft.com for all the work getting the car ready for the show. I plan on running several test days to sort out the car and park it until the 40th. Can not wait to meet everyone in July.

    Default Lola + Steve = FF40th

Here are my contributions to the FF40th photo thread. The first is my Lola at rest in my driveway. The second is yours truly in the paddock at Mid-Ohio...at least I think that is where that photo was taken.

See everyone at Road America...144 days and counting until the Thursday test day.

OK, so it still needs a little work. We'll have it back together well before the 40th. With a new paint scheme you may not recognize it when finished.

Default FF pictures for the 40th

Good to see you guys have started posting pictures for the 40th. Since I suggested this thread a while back I have decided to add one of the tall original air intake scoops to my T440 (thanks Neil Porter) so it will be a little while longer before I get my pictures posted. In the mean time I'm enjoying seeing a preview of coming attractions, keep them coming!

    My previous post:
    FF pictures
Since there are so many seldom seen FF's planning to be brought to this event it would be interesting to have pictures of them posted here for everyone's viewing pleasure. My totally original Lola T440 restoration is nearing completion, just requires a couple warm days for the final paint, & I'll post a couple pictures as soon as it's back in Lola Yellow.

If I entered i think it would have to be in an mid 80's Mondiale with those funky Goodyear A-70 13 tires that the Skippy school used for many years.

Those cars introduced a lot of folks to open wheel racing.

Hey gang, this is actually my first post on ApexSpeed, but I will be driving the former Bill Kincaid Eagle DGF this season up in the Milwaukee/Chicago regions and will be at the 40th at RA running in the SCCA National, as we are going to try to get the 32-year-old machine into the Runoffs.

We're going to have the car repainted in a similar factory Eagle theme, but in the colors of 1976 Gerhardt Indy squad...BUT, it will remain #46.
