The Award consists of a special trophy, cash and a pendant created exclusively for this award by Greg Jezarian.

The nominees should be a driver or crew member who exemplifies: sportsmanship, willingness to help other racers, good driving skills(if a driver), or good mechanical skills (if a crew member), leadership abilities and promotes the club racing spirit. While the nominee may not have all these qualities , we are looking for someone that Bill would admire as a fellow racer/crew member

he was a great guy, a class act, and a quick shoe in his day. always a fierce, but fair competitor. i'll always remember my first meeting with billl was an ass chewing he gave me for holding him up for a lap at the bridge in '83. but then he was the first guy to come over and shake my hand a couple years later there, when i won my first race. that's the kind of guy he was...ric

Absolutely Ric! I got a few Slowik pep talks at the Bridge, too.
But he taught me a few things and was the first to congratulate me on my first win there as well.
