Default Phoenix Intl Raceway Double National

Calling all cars, calling all cars, double national points hiding out at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) on January 16-19th, 2009. All Formula Bs proceed inroute immediately and apprehend ASAP!

In all seriousness, This is a really fun track. All Formula B's urged to come play! Gas has come back to reasonable and it is a double National for building points for our class. The Arizona Region SCCA folks seem to do a good job and very friendly to boot.

Gary and I will return and shoot for sub minute times. We had the Willow Springs aero setup last time and not short track. We intend to do the Double National at Pacific Raceway, so that is a challange for you NorPac guys to come on down and play early.

Anyone on the East Coast wanting out of the snow wanting to race or not having a car should call Dustin Wright at Phoenix. He has a car available and is one of the friendliest guys you'll deal with.

Look forward to seeing more of you there!

Will be out escaping the Iowa winter and plan on coming out to watch- being an old shifterkart racer now getting somewhat bored racing in spec Miata, the FB is very tempting... just wonder if my 59 year old body can take it!!

Can't remember his name right now, but a few years ago the winner of FA in SCCA was in his mid 70's and look what PLN did at his age, RIP.

Hope there are several FB's to watch...

Edge Engineering will have their car there driven by me, I just turned 51. Up until about a month ago I hadn't been behind the wheel of a formula car for nearly 20 years.

You really need to do yourself a favor and try one of these FB's on...they are so much fun to drive....and man are they ever fast.
