1997 Standard FM

Regretfully, I'm going to put my FM up for sale. Life has thrown a few curves the past few years and with a baby on the way the car will probably just be sitting in the garage in '09 and I'm not one for the garage queen scenario. If it doesn't sell I will keep it and use it when I can.


It is:
1997 Star Chassis #97076. Just started it's 2nd log book - 31 weekends total on car. Straight Chassis with very low time.

The car was professionally maintained until my ownership. I spent many hours going through it.

Motor was inspected and resealed by Drummond 11 races ago. Has new style seals.

Has a single test day and race weekend on a complete refresh of the following:
Gearbox
Wheel bearings
CV joints
Steering rack
Carb
Rod Ends

Spares:
Extra set of gold BBS wheels (2 sets total with car)
Alignment bars
Stands
Spare painted nose and wing
Jack
Cover
Muffler (2 total)
A few misc. dog rings
New set of Hawk pads in box for all 4 corners
Rain tires (have some cracks, but maybe usable)

Includes AMB hardwired transponder

The car is wired for radios. Has the analog gauges and the single adjustable shocks.

Since I have owned the car I have added:

New Aluminum Calipers
New fuel pump (old one failed at the track)
New Schroth belts for HANS expire 2012 I believe
Fire bottle was pressure tested, certified and filled with halon (empty
when I bought the car)
New Odyssey lightweight dry cell battery
Fuel cell replaced

Yes, this car sold to a "young grasshopper" in Calif.; I know because he's been my arch nemesis all last season & he seems to be getting faster everytime we meet. Good racing.
