    Check Ebay/ Craigs list and get your own equipment. I'll bet you could get the changer and balancer for under $500 if you were patient.

    I do utilize the trackside vendors as much as I can afford, knowing they are not there just to look pretty and need to make a buck. That being said, Hoosier Midwest at the Runoff's charging $8 to dismount, $8 to mount and $8 to balance each tire purchased is somewhat akin to highway robbery....since I am already buying the set of tires from them!

    Earlier in this thread I posted "JR Osborne had a wheel center break at the runoffs, the reason was powder coating." In this case I should have been more cautious with that statement.
    It was discussed at the Runnoffs that the cause was the pwder coating and one of the hypothesis was the temperature for powder coating may have damaged the wheel.

    Perhaps it would be best to check with your wheel manufacturer before applying a coating to your wheels.

    I apoligize for my poorly thought out post and unauthorized statement.
