    Default ARRC attendance?

I know that it is still early, but I was wondering how many FB cars were planning on attending the ARRC?

Will the Stohr, Phoenix, Piper, etc. "factory" cars be there? And if so, who will be driving? Matt and Lee....are you able to divulge your plans at this point?

Depending upon who shows up, the FB race could be one of the highlights of the weekend.

    Good question, Rick!

I know there were a lot of guys unable to get their cars completed for the 2007 ARRC. Hopefully they'll be coming this year. Last year was fantastic, thanks in large part to Sean O, Mike B, Phoenix, Taylor Race, HRP, ... (too lazy to type the long list) This year is going to be great, too, with the new Phoenix, the fast Cooper Bros. I can't wait.

My engine needs replacing, and I need to repair some minor crash damage, but I don't think those will keep me from having my car ready (more or less).

Has anyone started the prize fund for the top finishers in the CFB class (for 1994 and older F1000 cars? :-).

Default Well I dunno, ya see my dog's kinda sick...

and I still gotta get insurance on my truck, and I'm waiting on the painter, and the suspension is getting nickel plated, and the shocks are having the ultra zoot anti friction gold nitride coating applied to the damper shafts, and my sprockets are getting REM'd, the chain should be back from getting Croy'd soon, however, the steering wheel has been sent back to the factory in Italy for recovering, my suspension heim's are being polished and ported, yadda yadda, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it.
Let's see, we've got about 2 months to go...

Yeah, that should be juuuuuuuuuust enough time. I'm in.

The ARRC web site still has 2007 information on it, but here it is:

    Default Phoenix at the ARRC?

    Matt --

Will you be bringing a car to the ARRC? And if so, who will be driving?

    Rick,

We are still working on it. One thing is for sure....I will not be in a seat for the ARRC. In addition to our previous announcement of working with Mark Jaremko on the future development of the new F1K.09 car, we have also had discussions with an Atlanta-Area driver for a potential ARRC effort.

Things will get clarified for us in the next few weeks.

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for the update. I would love to see either your 07 or 09 car at the ARRC with a local "hot shoe" at the controls . Hope you can make it.

So... I have been looking at the membership roll for Atlanta Region. Trying to guess who would be in the Pheonix seat at the ARRC. Looking at formula car drivers...

Not Coop. He's polishing his shock rods.
Not McBride. He's got his own FB.

That sort of leaves Rossella (SEDIV FC champ), or some guy named Mike Eakin.
    Keith Roberts? Lightning fast. Maybe?
    Sean who?

Default Count us in at 08 ARRC

The car built by Gary Hickman and Tony Moore (also known as the "EDGE" FB) will be at the 2008 ARRC FB race. The car is finished now and we're going testing for the first time next week at Buttonwillow.

Default will post some pictures tomorrow

    Sean
I'll post some pictures tomorrow. We finished the airbox today, got the front wing bolted up. Shocks arrived today also, so they go on the car tomorrow...saved the one huge expense for last. Thanks to Penske they shared all their CAD Models with us for Solidworks Modeling.

    Stay tuned
