Being from California, I can't believe I'm going to say this but....

Come on all you Eastern guys! Lets tow out West and kick some western booty! (I learned that word from my 4-year-old). Looking at the current entry list, it looks like the East is a lock to take the Lamont Trophy! And if I can get my car to last the complete race, I should be top 5!!

I would expect to see a lot of the big dogs here for this weekend with the 40th Anniversary event here next year. Oh, and I think there was another big event scheduled for this track next year....

No, no, Garey -- I think we're, uh, scheduled for a blizzard that weekend. Or a tropical storm. Er, Chicago is closed. Yeah, that's it... you can't get here from there!!

Seriously though, the brand-new Marquette Interchange (downtown Milwaukee, where I-94 becomes I-43) is officially OPEN and ready for trailers to come through!

John, I can smell the fear from here! I'm not afraid of blizzards - I had one once at the DQ down the road....

There must be a lot of fear from both sides with only 3 FFs and 2 CFFs signed up so far!

For the Eastern guys, my driver coach is coming and is capable of supporting more than one driver. He might even help a Western guy for the right price!

    Default Old Style vs Leinenkugel

There is also no truth the the rumor that Wisconsin is running out of beer. And John is right about the Chicago road construction...the traverse is not as bad as it used to be.

    Default Car for rent???

I am looking for a car to use for this race. Would prefer CFF but would do a FF with the right car. Deposit will be given up front. I am looking for full support.

There are two more entries on the DLB Racing web site bringing the running total to eight cars:

Walter Stark, Tiga FFA-80, FF, W
Reid Hazleton, Van Diemen RF92, FF, W

At 13 days and counting, I have not heard from many people. If you are going to be at Road America for the last EWC weekend of the season, please check in.

Not only is Gustav bringing rain and wind to New Orleans, he is also raining entries on EWC Rounds #7 and #8. Here's what is new in the last day or so...

Curt Rehder, Lola T-440, CFF, W
John Haydon Jr, Tiga FFA-80, CFF, W
    Joe Tovo, TBD, TBD, W
John Luxon, Piper DF-2, FF, W
Ian Lenhart, Tiga FFA-80, CFF, W
Tim Kautz, Piper DF-2D, FF, W
Bob Hall, Crossle 35F, CFF, W

That puts our car count at 15 with 11 days to go. Enter early and enter often...

    Default East?!?!

Hey, where are the Eastern guys?!?! The first two drivers registered for this event were from the East but no one else has stepped up since then!

C'mon guys, this should be a "must-do" event, especially with the big turnout! Let's go West and kick some rubber!

    Default Register

For what it is worth, I have tried many times to register. It keeps telling me that I have a credit card AVS error. I have tried 3 cards and each account show that it debited the money. I emailed support and the event organizers for a PDF registration.

    I WILL BE RACING!

    update...I am registered.

    Cost?
    Schedule?

I will find out more info, likely won't be able to go up the hill until after 6:00 when registration opens. You can get there as early as you want to watch from Turn 12-14

There is a little ( very little ) power by the front straight and you have to pay for it. We always park down there but you guys have it this weekend. We always have had to use a generator....

    Default 15 + 2 = 17

More good news...two more confirmed entries on the DLB Racing web site:

Lewis Cooper III, Van Diemen RF-00, FF, E
Dan Johnson, Van Diemen RF-84, FF, W

This brings the FF/CFF car count to 17 cars with seven recruiting days left. With the addition of Marty Handberg (Tiga FFA-80, CFF, W) the "tentative" list has 3 cars on it. There are still quite a few people to be pestered between now and next Friday...
