Progress. I built an attenuator out of 050 and 062 T6160 aluminum sheet, some shapes, lots of rivets, and a few Dzus fasteners. Its removable, fastened by the Dzus bits to some 1/2x1" angle riveted to the radiator support.
Sent the pictures in, and it passed! I'll get the homologation certificate and all once Kevin is back from the Runoffs!

Ultimate plan is to fill this with some sort of impact foam, and have it welded together into a solid unit. Probably extend back some more attachment points to the front wall as well.
