    Default BHF EWC ENTRY LIST

Here's a first look at the entry list for EWC Rounds #2 and #3 July 12/13 at Blackhawk Farms Raceway:

Steve Beeler, Lola T-540, CFF, E
Dave Harmison, Royale RP-21, CFF, E
Phil Kingham, Zink Z-10C, CFF, E
Chuck Smith, Tiga FFA-81, CFF, E
Dan Faust, Van Diemen RF-93, FF, E
    Pete Wood, Crossle32F, CFF, W
Alan Murray, Crossle 45F, CFF, W
Bob Hall, Crossle 35F, CFF, W
John Haydon Jr, Tiga FFA-80, CFF, W
John Luxon, Piper DF-2, FF, W
Tom Stillwell, Swift DB-1, FF, W
Allen Wheatcroft, Van Diemen RF98K, W

We are already up to 12 cars and I have a couple of tentatives in hand. My early over/under line of 18 cars appears to be somewhat pessimistic at this point in time. If you are not on this list but should be, please check in.

    Default 12 + 1 - 1 + 12

Paul Reineck (Van Diemen RF87, FF, W) has checked in. However, Dan Faust reports that he sold his Van Diemen last weekend and is now out. Nevertheless, congrats to Dan for closing a deal.

Not sure if we matter to the EWC folks, but we'll be out Fri/Sat/Sun - myself driving Saturday and Don on Sunday with our Lola T440 in CFF.

    Regards,

    Default EWC attracts Headliner Bands

Because of the great attention the EWC series has brought to Blackhawk Farms Raceway, the local town of Beloit WI is holding a riverfront festival in honor of the EWC, with the following headliner bands,

Get there early for the test day, and see SEETHER Thursday night, for you headbangers out there.

Friday night is for those stuck in the '70s with REO SPEEDWAGON

Saturday eve is MOLLY HATCHET and JOAN JETT, if your a fan of southern rock and spandex,

and Sunday features the BEACH BOYS, for the more matured racers.

    COME EARLY, AND STAY LATE,
Who says the EWC series doesn't have it all?

    beloitriverfest.com for more info,

What more reason do you need to go to the EWC rounds 3 & 4 ????

    Default 12 + 4 = 16

More good news. In addition to Mike Green (Lola T-440, CFF, E), we have three more confirmed entries for a running total of 16:

Brad Ellingson, Swift DB-1, FF, W
Bill Bergeron, Van Diemen RF90, FF, W
Andrew Genkinger, Mondiale M85S, FF, W

If there is time between sets at the Beloit Riverfest, we might have a pretty good motor race or two. If you are not on this list but should be, please check in. Everyone is welcome in the EWC...it is the closest thing to a free lunch that you can find.

    Steve,
What is the demarc for East vs West? Don lives in Crystal Lake, I live in Dayton. Does that mean if I school someone on Saturday (highly unlikely, really depends if I can get someone to push start the damn car), and Don wins on Sunday - we're even?

    Cheers,

    Mike

    Default EWC LINE OF DEMARCATION

    Mike:

The EWC line of demarcation is the old CENDIV Area 4 / Area 5 boundary which is now CENDIV vs GLDIV. I assume you are referring to Crystal Lake, Illinois? If that is the case, your car will be on the East team one day, and the West team the other.

I do believe this will be a first for the series.

    Default 16 + 1 = 17

We have another new name in the EWC: Jeff Primm (Van Diemen RF84, CFF, W) will be making his series debut at Blackhawk Farms. Jeff will be running his RF84 on Hoosier R60s in Club Ford and is the first "tweener" car that we have attracted to the series.

If you have an Van Diemen RF82/3/4, Lola T-640/2/4, or something similar in your garage, give me a call. Let's see what it will do on a set of hard tires in CFF. Everyone wins when car counts are up.

We are now up to 17 cars and counting. If you have not yet checked in, please do so.

    Default EWC Blackhawk Farms

    Steve:

You may want to check back with Jeff Primm: he went wheel-to-wheel with an F1000 on Sunday that resulted in damage to the right front including the upright.

    See you next week,
    Cindy

    Default 17 + ? = ?

I'm chasing down about 13 "tentatives" and hope to have a firm entry list by Tuesday evening. Watch this space for details.
