Default Phoenix F1K-07 F1000 Class FB Sets Track Record

A new track record was set on Saturday June 7th, 2008 at Sandia Motorplex in Albuquerque, New Mexico in a Formula F1000 Phoenix Race Works built car. The FB record set was 58:223 and was 4.20 seconds behind the fastest car, a Formula Atlantic who posted a 54.014 time. The Phoenix F1K-07 once again ran flawlessly and recorded no off tracks, spins or mechancial problems.

On Sunday June 8th, 2008 another track record was established by the Phoenix FK1-07 Formula F1000 at 57.863 vs. the winning Formula Atlantic at 53.501 for a difference of 4.6 secs. Once again the Phoenix F1K-07 ran a flawless performance. Both races were Rocky Mountain Division SSCA scheduled regional events. The race was sponsored by the Rio Grande Region of the SCCA.

This is the same Phoenix F1K-07 that captured the 2007-2008 Arizona Regional Saguaro Championship Series.

Phoenix Race Works is the only FB constructor that pays contingency money to the owner/drivers of their cars. An award for $250 will be paid for the Regional Championship Series win and Phoenix Race Works pays it's owner/drivers $100 for each track record broken.

Since taking delivery of the F1K-07 the car was performed flawlessly and the over all maintanence of car has been minimal to none. Tire wear has been especially impressive and has proven to be large savings to the owner/driver.

I want to thank the engineers, developers and builders of the Phoenix F1000 for building such an outstanding race car. It is truely a pleasure to drive and is the most exciting race car to drive. The Phoenix F1K-07 was a hit at Sandia Motorplex both on and off the track and a sponsorship from a local Amsoil dealer/distributor was secured. For information on quality Amsoil products be sure to visit this website www.canyontraders.com Don Giles is a fellow SCCA racer and automotive specialist. He can arrange for quality Amsoil products to be direct shipped to your home or business. Be sure to pay particulair attention to his Automotive Sports section. Don is an avid SCCA Solo driver.

Congrats Richard. Glad to see you back in the car. Richard will receive a $100 check for the Sandia track record....in addition to the $250 he recently earned for winning the AZ Region SCCA FB Championship.

Phoenix Race Works has paid out over $2,500 in contingency dollars to drivers of its cars since the program started in 2005...and Jeremy Treadway came within 10 laps of winning the $5,000 "big prize" while driving a ZX-12 powered CSR at the SCCA Runoffs back in 2005.
