I was at the last chance race in topeka and there where some interested FB buyers when they got to talking with myself saying they thought this car was sold and they missed out on the chance to buy it.. I'll have to find there contacts and let them know.

But seriously this car is in new condition, and has all the right stuff. think of the 100's of laborous hours put in that you cannot get back when you sell a car that never really even hit the track.. which all have been done to this car..

We all must consider the state of the US economy and the most recent posts here on ApexSpeed about the costs of racing these cars. The purchaser will need cash to buy the car. Most likely in today's credit crunch any type of financing is highly unlikely to non existent. It is widely known that our cars are not worth the $$$ that we have put in them. While the Stohr #002 is a beautiful car, it should be very interesting to all car owners what happens to this car and what it ultimately sells for. The most recent test was the Phoenix F1000 that was sold here on ApexSpeed for $29,500 when the car cost over $46,000 new. The original owner ran the car in only 2 events. It was in mint condition when sold.

As owner of a premuim F1000 new constructor car, I have to understand also that if I wanted to sell my car, I would have to almost give it away as compared to what I have into the car personally.

When buying a race car one must have disposable income. Then on top of that have lots of extra cash to spend just to race the car, especially when there is no prize money awarded in return.

If GM, Ford, and Chrysler can't sell cars in this economy, it should be determined that selling race cars may even have a smaller and non existent market.

The F1000 Class is only about 12-18 months old, and we already have seen several F1000 cars up for sale. Why?
Perhaps some owners have underestimated the costs involved in racing these cars after the purchase. I have seen at least 4 - F1000 cars for sale here on ApexSpeed alone.

Thats why, I feel if we are concerned about budgets and have to cut back on racing, it's much better to hold on to the car than try to sell it at a giveaway price. Hopefully one day the economic conditions will improve, but for someone who's occupation is finance and investing, I just don't see that happening for some time. Most likely the US economy will get worse before it gets better.

Fasten your seatbelts and keep your shoulder harness's on, the ride for this US economy has been quite wild and will most likely remain that way for some time.

Lets see what happens to this beautiful Stohr #2. Lets see if it sells and for what amount.
