    Default Which Track?

    Steve,

    Thanks for your interest.

The Shenandoah Circuit, in the clockwise direction, will be used for this event. All 2008 dates will be on the Shenandoah circuit. The 2009 dates consist of two events on the "Main" circuit, and four events on the Shenandoah circuit.

    Default Register...

Just show up with formula car and $195 if you plan on competing for the whole weekend. It's free if you just want to use the practice sessions.

    Default Bill Scott series

Wow, I wish I could make this one - but I'll be driving a
different sort of vehicle that weekend (ambulance). Thanks
for your support of Formula car racing, and I hope to be
able to make it for one or more races in the series.

    Thanks,
    John

Perhaps you could remove the fenders and race the Ambulance? We'll call it Form-Am

    Default Arriving on friday...

You are all welcome to come and set up on Friday afternoon/evening. If the Shenandoah gate is closed (it will be in the evening), then enter though the main gate.

    Default ok... Im confused....

isnt track management the enemy, they are mean to us tell us what we cant do, when we have to leave & keep us out to the last minute!?!?!?!?!
You guys are amazing! Your support of the sport as well as treating us all so well is such a refreshing change. I got to speak to Bill years ago & was impressed with his visions & except for the hotel he talked about he has done everything he spoke of & more. I remember when this track was called "slipperypoint" It just keeps getting better & better. keep up the great work!!!!

    Jens,
Thanks so much for allowing Dave Cutchins and me the opportunity to practice on Sunday morning and being so helpful. I thought that Shenandoah looked like a very challenging fun track and I was correct. I stopped by one cold winter day a few years ago and saw it in the very early stages and it looked good, but is even better than I imagined. I enjoyed having a few moments to speak with your Dad Saturday. I'm sure he doesn't remember me, but he was the first person to allow this Carolina country boy, who had dreamed of being a formula car driver and read the F1 reports each month in R&T, a chance to drive on a road race track back in the early 80s, with my old SS Camaro. I believe my instructor was named Ralph and your Dad did that "dropping a dollar bill through the fingers trick" that my Dad had taught me how to win. A hint: Watch the eyes. I had first met your Dad at the very first road race I ever attend. It was the 1972 IMSA race at VIR. IMSA had a Formula 100 class then and he and David Loring had a great battle that weekend. So for the last 20 years I've been racing my old Caldwell D9 in vintage, hillclimbs, auotcrosses and even a 1/8 mile drag strip once, all over the east coast. I'm living my childhood dream and it all started at Summit Point. We'll see you in July.
Thanks so much to you and your Dad,
    Stan Vann

    Bill,
Now that you are the proud owner of a vintage FF1600, you must come up to Summit with Dave Cutchins and I for Bill Scott's Formula Ford races in July.
